Bank of Japan raises interest rate to 1.25%, the highest since 1995

Bank of Japan raised its benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points to 1.25%, highest since 1995, with a 7-2 vote. Underlying inflation nears 2%. Yen weakened against the US Dollar.
