Market Pulse: Key triggers to watch before the October 6 trading session

US markets turned positive as Treasury yields moved higher and the US services sector recorded growth in September largely in line with expectations, with both employment and prices rising. However, oil prices remained volatile after Saudi Arabia cut prices of its benchmark grade for Asia, while a Houthi-run body warned that Saudi Arabia’s airspace would remain unsafe as long as what it described as Saudi “aggression” continued. Indian markets will also track the HSBC India Services PMI data and Q2 business updates from companies including Trent, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Axis Bank, which could provide further cues for domestic equities.
